Forgiveness (Study of Matthew – Part 14)

Don’t get me wrong, he hurt me, or she hurt me. I have my reasons against them. Why I hate them. That guy killed my brother. That guy raped my brother, this woman took my men. That white guy killed my black son unarmed son. I have all the rights to hate him or her, as I please.

A lot of debate in people’s lives today, as we come together to find out the truth in the world of God. As we seek to know his way. I would like to seek to know what way is his way, not my own selfish way.

Something on the news lately is that Trayvon Martin case. This young boy was shoot and killed by a white men. After a year pass, the courts did the case and the white men was found to be in the right on killing this young back men. The claim wa self-defense. Now we have the nation in an uproar over it, een the president got involved, which he should not have, since it is a civil mater. He himself is only involve because his color, not because the crime. If a white men got killed by black, this wouldn’t be going on the same way.

I don’t bring this case into this sermon for no reason, it just happened that this study of Matthew hit the forgiveness part and this case is perfect example. Many blacks are christians in the USA, so why have they not forgiven this white men of killing a black men? Why pursue a men that you may kill him, but yet you didn’t see the whole story play out, only what the tv said.

God’s word tells us to hold nothing against no one and if you hold any sin against someone, don’t even think about going to God for your sin to not be hold against you. Why expect god to forgive us, when we don’t forgive others?

Weather the white men killed him case his color or to safe his own life, it’s for God to truly know. So as a shepherd of the church, I’m telling you, the lord Commands you to forgive this men. Put down your hate and start living a Godly life according to the word of God.

We are the body of Christ, we are his people. We should not be in the streets crying out for Justice, but in the Church crying out to God for us to be saved personally. Stop this acts that you have started, forgive him and move on in a Godly path.

For those who face the roads “Forgiveness” and “Hate”, in whatever it is you are going through, choose forgiveness. Since that’s what God choose for you 2000 years ago. The world put that men on the cross to die for your sins, anyone who turns to that men has everlasting life, but reject him and your be rejected.

Well pastor keith, how can I find this forgiveness that God offers? Get on your knees, turn from your sin and follow God. Don’t follow me, follow GOD.

Choose Forgiveness, Your Choice.

Matthew 5:21-26

New International Version (NIV)

21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
