The Best Investment I Ever Made
As a kid I would go around cutting grass for $20, most kids did that until the world got more dangerous. When I got older, I took business classes in school, because I didn’t really know what I was going to do in life, I thought, maybe start a business, you need money to live in this world and business makes money. That was my thinking. I remember at the end of 12th grade staying up all night, trying to make an business plan to destroy the world largest retailer, Walmart.
When I got my first job, I started looking more into stocks and binary options. One time I turn $100 into $1100 within a few hours with binary options. I bought stocks with JCP and 3 other companies that I forgot the names of and I lost money on all those stocks. They just kept going down. Later I invested about $1000 into a Landscaping company, but I mess up and bought electrical equipment. I made a-lot of bad investments starting out. I was about 19 years old when I made those bad investments.
Just recently I started making new investments. I’m 24 year old now and I’ve done a-lot of research on a-lot of different topics in investment making. Currently my investments all together make me around $4 or $5 a day. I invest in 2 start up companies that are making around 3 million dollars an year. I put $100 in each company. They are ‘FanFood’ and ‘Onward’. FanFood is like an UBER EATS, but for events and Onward is an app that help people overcome “unhealthy behaviors related to screen time, social media, shopping, gambling, video, dating apps, and porn.”. I invested in those companies through MircoVentures, Click Here to see yourself. Along with investing in those companies, I use Acorns to invest in different industries. You can invest $10 or more and it will not only help the economy but be good for your retirement. To learn more about Acorns Click Here. And Last I invest into real estate through a company called Fundrise. They have an Starters account for $500 investment. To learn more about this investment Click Here.
The main reason I invested in so many companies is for long term. I’m thinking about when I’m 45 years old, or when I’m 55 years old. I want to know that when my body isn’t young and strong anymore, I can still have an income coming in and I can pay bills. Making investments in the future are good things to do. The Bible even tells us about making investments. Ecclesiastes 11:1 “Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return.” Making investments is an Biblical Ideal.
So What was the best investment I’ve ever made? Was it the real estate? How about the 2 small business? Maybe it was Acorns? If you know store, about me losing everything and becoming homeless, you will know also that yeah, I invested in a-lot of things and have a good retirement waiting for me if my investments are good ones. But really the best investment I ever made was Following God. See, I can gain this world and everything that it offers, but I can lose everything I gain in a heartbeat and my life isn’t forever on this earth, it’s a moment here and forever somewhere else. When I lost everything when I was 20 years old, all I had left was GOD and I praised him in the middle of it all. Yeah I have everything back now that I lost, even more than what I lost, but my hope isn’t in any of these things, but in Christ Jesus on the Cross. My Best Investment ever made was In JESUS HIMSELF. Matthew 16:26
“What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?”
Make Investments, but don’t Just chase after money and riches. Think long term, like when you retire. My rule is that there are no Short Term Investments, only Long Term. And All Good Investments start with Jesus as the Best Investment.
