Spread the love
I have to examine myself with this verse everyday if I want to be a Pastor one day, I got to make sure I am none of these thing’s. Titus 1:7 – “Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.”

1) Am I Blameless? That’s hard one, because we are all sinners.
2) Am I Overbearing? Like a prideful leader. Like your in a leadership position and you take abuse of it, which I don’t. I know few that do and I am more of a Servant Leader. I serve those I lead, as I lead, because Christ did that.
3) Am I Quick-Tempered? I gain a-lot of patients over the years of being stabs in the back and betray.
4) Am I a Drunk? Bear and Wine are NASTY. I try them both, I an’t never trying them again.
5) Am I Violent? I use to be, ask my family. But Christ really changed me inside out. Not who I am anymore. But sometimes Like once in a blue moon, something happens and I go on a rage.
6) Do I pursue dishonest gain? I work my butt off at work. I write books and try find other legal ways to make money.

I’m a Sinner, by no means am I perfect, but these questions are question I ask myself everyday almost. They are what I line my life and actions up against and I encourage anyone who preaches the word of God to do that same thing. Just because you have a degree in ministry or went to school or ordain or whatever, it doesn’t excuses you before God on judgement day. God has a different standard and it’s this one above. The World has theirs and God has His. So If your preaching the Word, I encourage you to take those five questions to heart with you each day of your life and let them shape you into the Leader your called to be.
