Asking God (James of Study- Part 4)

Asking for things is something many of us should do daily. From the time we come into this world as babies, to the time we leave this world. God wants as to be asking for things in life. Asking for things is a good thing. It helps us grow in knowing people and also in learning new things.

The bible says that we can ask God for stuff. He will give it to us, if it be his Will. Jesus says, “Ask and you shall receive.” Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you…” That’s a great promise, but many times we do ask and nothing happens. Why is that? It has to do with faith and our relationship with God. In the bible, the book (letter) of James, which was a letter to the church, says, “But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt.” James 1:6. We must have the faith that God will, not might, but shall, answer our prayers. Now this only works for those who have already believed and follow JesusChrist and have a personal relationship with God through his son Jesus the Christ.

Now what is this personal relationship?

2000 years ago, God came to earth, in human form and was born by a virgin woman. God‘s name on earth was Jesus son of Joseph. He healed those who couldn’t see, and made those who couldn’t walk, stand up and walk. He made a storm go away at his command. He cast demons out of people. He brought people back to life. He spoke sermons that touched people’s hearts and souls. He walked on water. He had no sin in him. He was perfect in all he was. He pointed out the evil in the ones who acted holy, but wasn’t. They plotted to kill Jesus, because he said he is the King of the Jews and son of God, but with stories and teachings. They got Jesus, arrested him, took him to the ruler of Rome, had him beaten, and then at the end. The ruler in charge of Rome asked the people, who to release, a killer, named Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the son of God. All the rulers told the people lie’s about Jesus and told them all to say release Barabbas and kill Jesus. The ruler of Rome said, “Why? This men done nothing wrong”. But they still shouted, “Kill him”. So Jesus was beaten and mocked and then nailed to a cross. The amazing thing is that he died in 3 hours. When you put people on the cross, it takes days for people to die, but he died same day. Bible says that Jesus gave up his spirit into his father’s hands and went into hell for 3 days to burn for the sins of the world. In 3 days, he came back to life, went to his followers and stayed with them on the earth, 40 days and then went up into Heaven in his earthly body form. When he was on the earth in that time, there were over 400 reports of people seeing Jesus. The people got paid money not to say anything to no one. In all this, Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies needed that was made about him. He is coming again he said and the prophecies of his next coming will happen in one generation and in this time we live, they are being unfolded.

Jesus is only way to heaven, must receive him and follow him all your days. We all must have a personal relationship with God, through the blood of Jesus. We are given sin to know how holy God is and he told us not to use the sin, but we in human nature dis-obey and are sent to hell for it. But Jesus came and made away, all who believe and follow will know what life really is.

Are you ready? God want you to ask. Ask for forgiveness of your sin’s, and also to follow him. Every religion on earth says you have to try to get to God, but it’s not that way, God has already come to us. All we need to do is pick, him or not him. Do you know when your die? What if today is the end? Are you going to Heaven or Hell? Please don’t reject the Grace of God.

For everyone who asks receives; and to him who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:8

Not a might, but a promise.
