The word ” fragrant ” brings to mind a fresh and lovely scent, like a summer morning after the rain.
Paul tells us we are ” to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing ” To the perishing we are ” the aroma of death.” To those being saved we are ” the aroma of life leading to life”
2 Corinthians 2:15-16 NCV
Our offering to God is this: We are the sweet smell of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are being lost. To those who are lost, we are the smell of death that brings death, but to those who are being saved, we are the smell of life that brings life. So who is able to do this work?
To think of our lives as an aroma to the Lord is a humbling experience. Sometimes we stumble in our Christian walk, and our aroma may resemble the order of dead fish rather than the fragrance of life. Each day should be lived in awareness of the fragrance of our lives tp our Almighty God and to those around us.
Today do all things to keep your fragrance sweet to him.
