I left one job making $40,000/ Year to enter into an part-time job making maybe $15,000/ year. Why? Well, because I wanted to go to school. The bible says that knowledge is better than wealth. Knowledge will put an crown on your head.

In my last job, I seen this christian men, he had over 18 years of experience in that construction world. He wasn’t a boss in that company. He was just like me, an servant with masters, you might say. But what point him out the most was his knowledge of the job. He knew that stuff more than anyone. Many times he got offered manager jobs, but turn them down. Between him and the bosses, you knew he had an crown on his head.

So I went apply for college, and then return to the company I once was a manager at 6 months ago. I am now in school and i’m at the bottom of the company once again. I’m no body. I did receive opportunity to take an $50,000 job the same day Walmart hire me, with another company. I turn it down, because they told me that I can’t go to school. So I turn down all these high paying jobs, for one of the lowest job you can get in Walmart. Good thing I don’t got a wife, haha. Imagine how she might respond if I had a wife and came home one day and told her, “Yeah I turn all these jobs down and took the lowest I can go, so I can go to school.” You might think i’m crazy, that i’m the stupidest men on earth by now after reading all this.

Well, it gets better, everyday i’m in Walmart, employees, my own co-workers, asking me everyday to apple for a management position with the company. I keep saying “No” to them. Finally, 3 weeks into the job. They asked me again to apply for manager job, I said “No”. I started thinking, “Could God be drawling employees to ask me to apply for that position? Surly if so, then let the manager come and ask me, then I will consider it as God’s calling for me in this company, to be a manager here once again.” Two hours pass, the manager came and we started up an conversation. He told me, “Go apply for all that management positions in the systems right now.” So I did and now i’m awaiting for a management team to act on there side to see if they still want me. I enter into this job only wanting a job to get me 9 months, so I can finish up Everest college and then start making big money that I can live independently on. Since i’m single, I got to find away for me to be independently financially good to go. I was hired on part-time, it gets better, the manager asked me yesterday, “Do you want part time or full-time?” I said, “I want full-time.” He asked me that because he knew I was in school. I turn down, $40,000 job, $50,000 job and took an $15,000, just to go to school and gain education in a trade. What is God’s responds to that, he is about to lift me up to a management position that pays, I think about $40,000. If i’m right, my raise will be a few dollars. It will be the biggest raise I’ve ever been given in any company. Why? Because I took my life and apply it to the bible.

Proverbs 4:5-9New International Version (NIV)

5 Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them.
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you.
7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get[a] wisdom.
Though it cost all you have,[b] get understanding.
8 Cherish her, and she will exalt you;
embrace her, and she will honor you.
9 She will give you a garland to grace your head
and present you with a glorious crown.”
