Having Joy in Trail Times (James of Study- Part 3)

I like the Song that Says “J is for Jesus, O is for others and Y is for you”. What this means is to have joy in life. Put Jesus first, others next, yourself last. This can be hard. But God is with those who are with him.

The fact that anyone would tell us to have joy in the bad time is the craziest thing ever, right? How do you have joy when your dying, or in debt, or going throw problems at church, or your job, or school? It’s a very hard thing to do, but the bible tells us why it’s so important for the Christian life.

In this Study of James, we see reasons to have joy in the bad times, turn to (James 1:2-4), “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trails of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

The first reason we see it perseverance, perseverance is, what I like to think is standing firm, not having anything trying to hold you back or pushing you down. As Christians, we are called to be weak, but strong, strong in our faith, but living lives like the weak. Perseverance will help us to have that peace given to us through the Holy Spirit, but we must grow to reach that gift. We have received that gift of peace, when we came to peace with God, then we will have joy, in the bad times. Because we know, no-matter what happens to us, God is with us and nothing can change that. We have a gift of salvation. So stand firm (Preserve) in Christ, for Christ and with Christ, by the help of the Holy Spirit who is God in spirit and Christ in human form of God.

Reason to have perseverance in our life is it helps us mature in our faith of the LordJesus. People like to say that it’s just a lot of rules in the bible. It’s not, we are saved when we come to peace with God (yes, but it’s deeper than that alone), but after getting saved, we don’t stop there, but keep on growing.

Like a baby, the baby grows and keeps growing bigger, stronger and gains in knowledge of this world. Well, in a biblical since, when we come to Christ, in the start we are babies, we grow little by little spiritual and stronger spiritual. At the end we will be mature, in our faith, as a baby is mature when it becomes a grown up. It’s not rules, but an order plan, that was planed, which God himself made, to help his kids grow.

Now you can reject to grow, but your die. If a baby of the world won’t eat, doesn’t grow then their die. He never was what it seemed to be. In the biblical since, we must read our bible, the word of God, our food and praying daily is a gift, so don’t waste it. God wants to know us more and wants you to know him more. Like a man and wife know each other so closely, God is a God who wants to know you and have a personal relationship with you. So have joy, because, no matter what, as long as you’re following God, then everything will work out great at the end.

It’s funny, I can preach it, but so hard to do. God want us doing it, then just hearing it, because what would be the point to read or hear the word of God and not do anything with it? It would be useless.
