Spread the love

How many of you have seen a homeless man? Most likely each and every one of you. Most likely you have never lived that life before. Most likely you joke about people who are homeless. Most homeless people are homeless for drug reasons, or maybe home got foreclosed on. Maybe they lost their job and then had no money to pay rent, due to economy. Maybe the person was selling drugs at work, and got fired. I’ve seen and heard it all by people. Sometimes the person is mentally unstable and the family they were with throw them out or even possible that the person got no clue where he or she is. The reasons are endless, on why people are homeless. There is though, no reason for you not to step up and help.

In the time of Jesus, the very outcast were most likely homeless. Most likely the blind, ones with leprosy, mental sick, demonic controlled, etc.. These people were the ones that you couldn’t be around in a normal life. Weather outcast or not, the fact reminds the same, that these types of people of low positions were outcast of the world. Think about that, then think about me and you, as christians, we are outcast even of the outcast. Do you like being an outcast? No, no one does. We then should reach out a hand and reach these outcast.

Everyone knows someone who is less than them. I’ve had my own experience. I’ve seen things that just amazed me. Have you ever seen a grow men looking for food to eat inside a thrash can at a city park, early in the morning? I’ve seen it. Have you ever seen a men just driving water only for weeks and weeks, as he just dies, because he can’t find work? I’ve seen it. It’s sad. My heart cry and pour out to these people. I just couldn’t stand here, and watch someone waste away, I got to help them. The best I can. I love helping people like that, it’s a great witness to people around and to the person that you’re doing it for. Big thing I started doing in witnesses, I’ll buy food for someone, that I will used for opening conversation to chat to them about Jesus. It ensures me that they will be right there in that fast food place for about 30 minutes, that I can try reach them or plants seeds for them to grow, then they can leave with a bible in their hands. We got to reach the outcast.

When we reach our hand out to people in need. We are pulling them out of a pit of their folly. We shouldn’t wish people to waste away. We should truly go into this world and each soul we are able to. Don’t worry a bout the money. If it cost you anything to help people. We got to remember, God sees and he will supply all our needs. How great it that? “A generous man will prosper…” Proverbs 11:25. “So give us all your money”, says the TV preachers.  Don’t listen to them preachers. God wants us to reach the outcast of the world, not the greedy. The greedy helps create outcast. The greedy for righteousness created the outcast called “Sinners” in Jesus time. We need to be careful in how we reach. Be wise in who we reach.

When reaching outcast, few tips.

    • Have New Testament bibles to give

    • Find a way to get them or caught them, for me it be fast food. I caught them for few minutes.

    • Don’t say stuff that will get them mad, be peaceful and clam. Show Godly love and living

We won’t reach each person we talk with, but God can and will use that to do farther work in the person’s life. We should keep the reach “Guy with Guy” and “Girl with Girl”. You don’t want that 30 minute conversation to go beyond that Jesus talk, that’s my tip, but if God tells you to do other, go for it.

God can use everyone that is willing to step up. The question is, will you step up or step down?

Jesus tells us that we shouldn’t be giving to people and acting like we are all righteous, just to be seen. Don’t go reach people, if the glory points back to yourself. Make the glory point back to GOD. In the end of day, “Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise”.

So, think about what Jesus says, ““Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:1-4
