2 Corinthians 11:3 (NIV)
But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Believing God can be simple, yet we make it complicated. The Bible say’s we must become as little children or we will not enter the kingdom of God ( Matthew 18:3) Little children are simple. They mostly believe what adults whom they trust tell them. They don’t try to figure everything out ; they simply believe. Hebrews 4 teaches us that we can enter the rest of God through believing. (v.3). It says we should be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter the rest of God. We should knowledge of it and experience it for ourselves (v.11) Those who have entered the rest of God have ceased from the weariness and pain of human labors (v.10) So they are not tied up in knots; they are relaxed, secure, and free to be themselves.
We can even enter the rest of God concerning what people think of us and whether they approve of us. We can become so secure in Christ that as long as we know our hearts is right, we know whatever people think of us is between them and God and not our concern.
Lord, it is good news that I can rest in You. I come as a child in simple faith in you and what you have done for me. That is enough for me. I rest in You. Amen.
