“Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess[a] in the church at Cenchrea.” Romans 16:1
I finish reading this article and to conclude, Leaders in 300-600 stop ordaining Woman as Deacons because they have an monthly period.”The ordination of deaconesses, rather than their work, seems to have become an issue, perhaps because of their monthly “impurity.” Bishop Epiphanius of Salamis (315–405), who held that women “are a feeble race, untrustworthy and of mediocre intelligence,” pointed out that deaconesses were not clergy, but served the “bishops and priests on grounds of propriety.” – The History of Deaconess by Nancy Vyhmeister. It states that makes them unholy.
Well, we are all unholy.
No one on this earth in their right mind can stand here and say, “I’m Holy.” It’s by coming to Christ, we receive anything Holy in us. Men and woman both have receive the freedom of the Cross. To come to Christ and be saved by his blood. To receive the opportunity to grow in Christ in a one on one relationship with God the Father through God the Son named Christ. The one’s who grows in mature Christ ship, away from human sin, should both either male or female have the right of receiving, by either vote of their local church members or church leaders, to take a place of Deacon or Deaconesses. If i’m wrong, then the Paul is wrong and a false teacher. If Paul isn’t a false teacher, then we got to accepted that he commended a woman in the first 50 years of the churches existence to be a Deaconess.
